Social calls of bats in the Netherlands

Social calls can be categorized in four types based on general call structure (Middleton et al., 2022).
Type A: loud, low in frequency and long of duration. They are fairly flat calls with multiharmonics.
Type B: a repeated number of short emissions that together form a long sequence of rapidly descending FM sweeps.
Type C: usually short in duration, simple curved FM calls with wide bandwith. Harmonics can be present.
Type D: more complex and song-like, often consisting of numerous and differing component types.
